So I have approximately 8 million and four things to do today, so what am I doing? Avoiding them by updating my blog. I have nearly perfected the art of procrastination. Anyway, less about me and more about Hannah.
Twice a week Hannah attends physiotherapy with Janet. When we get there she gets to sit with her arm in the whirlpool for 15 minutes then we see Janet. First she measures Hannah's elbow to see how many degrees her arm bends up and down. She has made some amazing progress over the last few weeks and her arm is now almost straight. It is measuring 118 degrees {perfectly straight is 100}. She still has a lot of work to do to get her arm to bend up, but that will be hindered somewhat because Dr. Carey{her London surgeon and Dr.} says she has an overgrowth of bone above her elbow so she may never regain full motion, but enough to be "normal" and carry on with normal daily activities. Whew, are you still with me? After that she does some stretching and massaging of her arm and elbow and shapes the splint Hannah wears to bed at night to help straighten her arm. So without further ado here are a few pictures from a day in Hannah's physio life.
The sight that greets us twice a week.
It's a looong 15 minutes, so Hannah likes me to tell her 'little girl stories' {stories about my childhood}. We are also reading Junie B. Jones "Beauty Shop Guy".
Almost there, just a little more.

This contraption is related to a medieval torture device. Not really, but Hannah sure acts like it is. It helps to stretch her arm in the bent position. She has to wear it 3 times a day.
